Happy Easter!

We had a nice Easter day. Becca didn't feel great but other than that we had a nice dinner, and visit. Aiden gave the prayer all by himself. He told me that Easter is about Jesus and that Jesus loves you. We got a new Bishop, Bishop Rhead and terry was released. I had mixed feelings. I loved the blessings that came from his being in the bishopric but we were both feeling very sure that the Lord blessed us with this new bishric.

I found this video on LDS.org that I LOVED. Here is that text for it. It meant a lot to me.

My other plea at Easter time is that these scenes of Christ’s lonely sacrifice, laced with moments of denial and abandonment and, at least once, outright betrayal, must never be reenacted by us. He has walked alone once. Now, may I ask that never again will He have to confront sin without our aid and assistance, that never again will He find only unresponsive onlookers when He sees you and me along His Via Dolorosa in our present day. As we approach this holy week—Passover Thursday with its Paschal Lamb, atoning Friday with its cross, Resurrection Sunday with its empty tomb—may we declare ourselves to be more fully disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, not in word only and not only in the flush of comfortable times but in deed and in courage and in faith, including when the path is lonely and when our cross is difficult to bear. This Easter week and always, may we stand by Jesus Christ “at all times and in all things, and in all places that [we] may be in, even until death,”21 for surely that is how He stood by us when it was unto death and when He had to stand entirely and utterly alone. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
I visited Sister Johns yesterday and she had this plaque up which she had me copy because it has helped her so much. I remember when President Hinckley said this and I have said it to the girls quite often. I really am thankful for him and for his wisdom.

It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is
It all works out
Don't worry
I say that to myself every morning
It will all work out
Put your trust in God and move forward with faith and confidence in the future
The Lord will not forsake us
He will not forsake us.
If we put our trust in Him
If we will live worthy of His blessings
He will hear our prayers.

President Gordon B. Hinckley

I just found a countdown site that says I still have 245 days until Kyle gets home. That seems so long. It started out so slow then summer came and went by so quickly all of the sudden he had been gone over a year, Now it has slowed down and I feel like I haven't seen him forever. Will a count down reminding me of the big number of days make time feel slower or will it be the same. He sounds like he is doing well, working hard, learning tons and serving well. I do miss him but I am so glad he chose to serve and had that opportunity.
